SERVE has been supporting independence in East Northamptonshire and further afield since the 1980s.
Their mission is to ensure that everyone who wishes to remain in their own home, irrespective of their age or disability, is enabled to do so.
Serve provide a range of services to help you stay fit and healthy and enjoy the independence that living in your own home provides.
The current services on offer are:
Community Transport – They are funded to provide a door to door escorted service to medical appointments and other social activities, the service user pays an annual subscription and the volunteers mileage.
Domiciliary Care – Their personal homecare service is registered with the Care Quality Commission and assists service users with all aspects of personal care including administering medication.
Domestic Care – Their domestic care service can assist services users with general cleaning duties, ironing, shopping and internal window cleaning
Wellbeing Activities – SERVE provides a wide range of well-being activities including exercise, strength and balancing, craft activities, IT training, music programme for people suffering with Dementia and various other groups. The activities are delivered in thier own wellbeing centre as well as in the community.
Wellbeing Outings – SERVE have 3 disabled access vehicles, they offer service users a chance to book on their daily minibus outings which include garden centres, pub lunches, seaside trips, shopping trips for leisure and domestic, cultural activity.
Mobility Equipment and Sensory Aids – SERVE have a mobility shop which offers a range of aids and sensory equipment to assist service users in their own homes.
Handyperson Scheme – Their handyperson can fit grab rails, key safes and do minor adaptations to a service users home.
Therapy Centre – SERVE have a Therapy Centre based in Higham Ferrers. Treatments include toe clipping, and basic foot health treatments, full foot treatments, holistic therapies including Massage, Reflexology and Reiki. The centre hosts carers respite activities and is also used as an activity centre from time to time.
