Autism East Midlands

 Autism East Midlands is leading autism charity who exist to ensure autistic people can live their lives with dignity, choice and independence. They were started on the initiative of a group of parents in 1968 and today they are still led by the parents and friends of autistic people.

Their services include:

  • support and information for families and individuals

  • a specialist day school, Sutherland House School

  • play and leisure activities for children and young people

  • adult residential homes

  • outreach services

  • support for independent living

  • day services

  • training for parents, carers and professionals

  • a diagnostic and assessment centre
