Association of Northamptonshire Supplementary Schools (ANSS)

ANSS are the umbrella organisation for Supplementary Schools in the County.  They provide support, advice and training for volunteers running and teaching supplementary education. 

Their member schools provide culture and language classes every Saturday or Sunday during term time to over 1200 children each weekend.  Each school acts as a hub for children and families to meet, create friendships and share information within their communities. 

Communities running schools include, Polish, Chinese, Arabic, Greek, Gujarati, Punjabi, Lithuanian, Latvian, Russian, Tamil, Serbian and Ghanaian.  ANSS also organises regular events and meetings to share and celebrate the work and achievements of children attending supplementary schools and the diverse communities in the county.
