AimHigher Northamptonshire
Aimhigher, a MATRIX accredited, not for profit social enterprise, works with young people and adults in schools, colleges, the unemployed and broader community, helping progression to the next stage of learning, volunteering or employment. Working in Schools, FE Colleges, the community, DWP and other agencies, Aimhigher engages participants in activities to creatively support the achievement oftheir goals or targets, job or career aspiration or in general, towards independence, raising self-esteem and motivation to improve their wellbeing and hopefully social mobility. Aimhigher also offers support to participants who are currently seeking career change and/or progression or entry to the job market.
Aimhigher also works with NEET young people and unemployed adults providing activities to support job-readiness and employability skills preparing for their next career step or bringing them closer to the job-market which may involve addressing and overcoming multiple barriers to progression. We have had significant success with DWP/JSA/ESA participants who have found the provision helpful, supportive and developmental.
